The piece
The salon in late August, when the sunflowers on the mantel have opened all the way. Tournesol is green fig and bitter citrus over a warm, waxy heart of mimosa and orange blossom, settling into cedar and beeswax like sun on old wood.
Poured into a tall fluted flacon of bottle-green glass under a gold dome cap.
